I’m Nick James, a Melbourne-based model. My passion for modelling began when I realised how few young, confident men with disability were represented in mainstream fashion. I wanted to help change that.
I want to show others in my situation that they can don’t just have to sit behind others, quietly in the background.
My Why
People already tend to look at me because I’m in a wheelchair, but I enjoy being in the spotlight and being admired for more than just that. Modelling lets me be seen for who I am, express myself through style, and show others with disability that they belong too.
My dream is to walk the runway at Paris Fashion Week and feature in an Oscar-winning film. Right now, I’m building my Melbourne fashion work and venturing interstate, and I’m in it for the long run.
